    The conversion is of the very highest standard with full central heating. With the oak floors and cupboards, and attractive beams situated throughout this 200 year old property it combines many original features with all the modern essentials for comfortable living.

    On the ground floor there is a very large lounge / diner with 42' plasma TV, dvd, radio, ipod docking facilities, large round 6 seater dining table.
    The doors off the lounge / diner lead to the kitchen, toilet and a lockable dog kennel area.

    The owners live on site to help with information or difficulties.

    The day rates are set for 3 or 4 night stops, if you have more nights the average day rate is reduced from that quoted above.

    Pets may be allowed by prior arrangement, there is a specific lockable dog kennel area in doors, an extra charge of £6 a day is made for a dog.

    We are not set up for card payment, so please use a cheque or internet / bank transfer.

    A 35% deposit is required to confirm the booking with the balance due 8 weeks before arrival.
    Groups may be accepted but we would require details in advance & a deposit may be asked for.

    Check in time from 2pm - Checkout by 10am

    NB - a maximum of 6 visitors are allowed at any one time, if more are coming this has to be arranged prior to their arrival.

    The Granary is within the grounds of Newstead Abbey Park which is located between the villages of Ravenshead and Newstead.

    We are only 3 miles from J27 of the M1 & there is a train station at Newstead which is only three quarters of a mile from the Granary.

Just returning from another lovely weekend stay at The Granary. It really is such a cosy, home from home place to stay and both daughters and dogs love it! Fantastic location, perfect for a quiet retreat and good base to explore the region. Warm welcome on arrival, the homemade cakes were very much appreciated after a long drive. There was also good attention to detail - a high chair, stairgate and cot for my 1yr old, and lots of books for my 3 yr old's bedtime stories!
