Burnlea Cottage is set amid stunningly beautiful scenery in the quiet hamlet of Clachaig in Glen Lean. The fully restored cottage is spacious and comfortable with four bedrooms.

Like other cottages in the village, it was built in the 19th century to house workers from the nearby Gunpowder Mill, the ruins of which can still be seen in the lower glen. The cottage is situated at the very edge of the village, and boasts superb views of the upper glen and surrounding hills, including the imposing Cruach Neuran. Not far from the foot of the garden runs the Little Eachaig river, which winds its way through the glen.

The cottage is spacious and comfortable, furnished in a traditional country style. Its centrepiece is the large lounge with beamed ceiling, parquet floor, lovely open fire, and st...

It was also close to amenities and had a good selection of pubs and restaurants nearby. The cottage itself was in a really pretty valley and we saw regular sightings of Red Dear and birds of prey. There... more

Really tranquil cozy cottage. Beautiful location in little known corner of Argyll -great walks straight from the door - waterfalls, hills ,sea lochs gardens, castles all nearby. Feels utterly remote yet 15 mins from Dunoon's shops and internet cafes - check out Season cafe on sea front - wifi and great baking. Slept so soundly in comfy beds, great relaxing... more
