    Myrtlebank Hide-away is a wonderful retreat for a romantic getaway. Part of a lovely Victorian house just a five minute stroll from Holy Loch Marina in Sandbank, minutes to Dunoon, Argyll. The two bedroom apartment has it's own separate entrance and is tastefully decorated to ensure a comfortable and relaxing break away.

    There are stunning views from the front window out over the Holy Loch. The Arboretum beyond provides a spectacular and constantly changing backdrop to the view. Perfect to sit in with a glass of wine on those cosy afternoons.

We stayed in the upstairs flat (site refers to downstairs flat only) and were well satisfied with the location, decor, and facilities. The flat has recently been renovated, and has entirely new TV, kitchen appliances etc. The views of Holy Loch from the front window in the kitchen/lounge and bedroom are stunning.

The Agent was prompt and courteous in meeting us with the key on arrival, and whilst we didn't need to call on his services during our stay, put himself at our disposal in case of any issues.

Whilst there was ample space for the two of us, it may be a little congested for parties of more than two - although I would assume there is ample space in the downstairs flat.

The only downside was that the pub in Sandbank was closed the whole time we were there (apparently in between owners) and so if we wanted to go out for food or a drink, one of us had to drive and have a dry evening.
