We have just retuned from one of the most relaxing holidays we've ever had.
The cottage is "off the beaten track" so very quiet and peaceful.
There are several lovely small towns quite near - Boulogne-sur-Gesse being the closest, also St Gaudens, Aurignac and one we particularly liked - Castelnau Magnoac. There's a lovely friendly restaurant there called Le Tarragon, one of the waiters is English but also speaks French if you want to practice your language skills!
We also travelled further afield to Louchon, Lourdes, Toulouse and Lannemezan - all well worth visiting.
The cottage was really comfortable , although ,because the weather was so good we spent most of the time outside on the terrace or picking pears from the fruit trees at the very bottom of the garden - delicious ! We spent each evening , again on the terrace , eating food bought from the markets visited that day and cooked in the very well equipped kitchen.
Such a calm and tranquil... more
