We stayed in Palms Lodge during the last week of July 2012 and were really impressed with the standard and quality of the accommodation. Often, when you select somewhere to stay on the basis of the description and pictures on a website, you can be disappointed. This was certainly not the case with Palms Lodge. It was even better than we expected.
The house is looked after by Frans and Mary, a lovely Maltese, couple who looked after us and gave us lots of information about Marsaxlokk. We had come from Gozo and Frans had picked us up from the ferry at the other side of Malta.
On entry to the house you come into the large, cool, airy beautifully furnished living area with satellite television and music system. This leads to a large landing area at the bottom of the stairs, furnished with artefacts from the owners' travels. There is also a shower room in this area.
