We rented both the 3rd and 4th floor apartments to accommodate our family of 8 adults and 4 children (all young teens). It was wonderful. The apartments had just about everything we needed. Pots and pans, of course, as much bedding as we needed and then some, towels, soap for bathrooms and the kitchens, hairdryers in both bathrooms, access to washer and dryer in the basement and as much hot water as you can use! Love that about Iceland - never run out of hot water. : ) The owner and her husband were on site (live downstairs) in case you have any questions. The only thing negative I could say would be if you had someone who couldn't do stairs, it might not be the place for you. There are quite a lot of them. We (who are in our 40's and moderately active) had no problem but my 72-year-old mother had a few things to say about it.
