We stayed at The Penthouse in early March with our 2 teenage daughters and had a wonderful holiday. The Penthouse is light, spacious and beautifully decorated. There are two large terraces with views over Loule and towards the coast and in the summer they must be fantastic sun traps. There is a bbq which must be nice to use in the summer months. Loule is a pretty town with a picturesque castle, artisan shops around every corner and the red roofed indoor market. We didn't hire a car but we did take the local bus, from the bus station opposite the apartment, into Vilamoura which is well worth a visit. There are plenty places to eat both local and international cuisine at reasonable prices, although The Penthouse kitchen is well equipped and we did use it often, trying to copy the local tomato and onion salad. We would definitely like to return to The Penthouse again, maybe in the summer to take full advantage of the terraces and bbq!
