I went to Quinta Mimosa with a yoga group, so I didn't actually book the accommodation myself. Because there were so many of us we pretty much took over the place!
The accommodation was lovely. It consists of several lovingly converted farm buildings, each building is a self contained unit with a kitchen, living room and, in our case, three ensuite bedrooms. We were greeted with fresh fruit, tea and biscuits in the kitchen. The rooms were tastefully decorated, clean and bright. Each house has its own pool, which was very nice. We were given permission to pick as much fruit as we liked from the orchard, and we made good use of that. There is nothing quite like a fig fresh from the tree, still warm from the sun...
The food in Quinta Mimosa was amazing. It was vegetarian, and the chef managed to cook a huge variety of dishes to suit every taste. The food was plentiful, and international/meditarranean rather than strictly Portugese, but as my Portugese friend tells me... more
