I have reviewed this gorgeous apartment before and can endorse every other excellent review but I would just like to explain why should you be in Amsterdam this is the only place to stay. We arrived late evening in Amsterdam 3 teenagers in tow for 1 nights stay en route for a ferry back to England. Hotel was already booked ready for one night in Amsterdam Unfortunately due to a mix up with dates our hotel was over booked and as it was Easter Saturday the whole of Amsterdam was booked up and we found ourselves in the position of having to sleep in the car for 1 night!!!

This delightful retreat is halfway between a private apartment and a serviced bed-and-breakfast, with all the advantages of both. The owners live upstairs, and welcome you with every kind of hospitality and helpfulness, including ample fresh supplies for your breakfasts, However, once you are installed they courteously take great care not to intrude into your space, while inviting you to call them if you need the least assistance. The apartment is modern in style and very clean and well equipped. It is decorated in part with original work by the owner, who is a mosaic artist.

The location is in Jordaans: a slightly seedy but romantic quarter, close to the Anne Frank House. The city centre and the museum quarter are both short tram-rides away. We thoroughly recommend the 24-hr bus and tram smartcards, as services everywhere are numerous and frequent. The nearest stops are 2 mins walk from the apartment.

The owners provide a wealth of local knowledge about restaurants...
