    Additional Location Information
The studio is located in the centre of Amsterdam, right at the Canal

Belt, a UNESCO World Heritage. Probably the image most associated with

the city of Amsterdam is that of elegant gabled mansions richly

decorated and beautifully laid out, facing water canals lined with

trees. The crescent-shaped rings of man made waterways, Singel,

Herengracht, Keizersgracht, and Prinsengracht, called the Grachtengordel

in Dutch, were built around the old heart of town during the 17th

    century's Dutch Golden Age.

The Flower Market Apartment is just off the Reguliersdwarsstraat, which has excellent restaurants and

lively bars nearby which attracts a mixed bunch of both hip straights

and gays. It is close to the the only floating flower market in the

world so it's one of the sweetest smelling places of Amsterdam. The

Rembrandtplein is also around the corner as well as the...

2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2013 for a stay in October 2013

Initially this apartment looks great - the location is v. central and on the surface it seems quite stylishly decorated, but once you start living there it is a nightmare - aside from the noise from outside, which you almost expect in location there seems to be absolutely no sound proofing between the different floors and as there's no carpet and big empty spaces it is ridiculously noisy. You can hear every single move your neighbours make. In the double bedroom when the loo above is flushed it sounds as if you have a waterfall overhead. The entrance to the aprtment is on a tiny alley between the flower market and regulier straat which is full of clubs and bars. Consequently there is loads of noise from people locking and unlocking their bikes, "complimented" by the odd pool of vomit. If you are going to spend half the night out clubbing and then return home so out of it you'd sleep through anything it will suit you fine, otherwise I'd forget it. more
