We arrived at the train statin in Florence and made our way to piazza Santa Croce to the Palazzo. Even though we were a bit early, we were welcomed and shown around. My kids were thrilled to be in such an old palazzo with a wooden beamed ceiling dating back 500 years! The apartment was gorgeous and spacious. My children were delighted with their rooms. My daughter called the magical green bedroom her "principessa" room while my son stayed in the smaller twin room that he called his "scholar's room" imagining himself studying by lamplight at the desk.
The whole apartment was spacious and clean. The kitchen was well stocked and functioned beautifully. We appreciated the new washing machine/dryer combo and the wifi worked like a charm. But the real standout was the painted ceiling in the living room. It really made us feel like we were really in Italy every time we were in the room.
