    How to get there
It is an easy drive on the A1 - the main motorway from all the major airports of Rome (2hours) , Florence (1 hour) and Pisa (2 hours) and I will provide full directions at the time of booking and final payment.

International Airlines (and their Alliance partners) will land at Rome Airport. Other European carriers may land at Rome, Pisa, Florence, Perguia or Bologna.

Airlines from the UK: I have noted only direct flights. Many other European Airlines that fly from UK regional airports to Italy via their own main hubs and offer some good deals - though of course the time is usually 4-5 hours travel rather then the usual 2 hours for a direct flight.

Note: Information correct at time of entry (2014)

I have stayed at Villa Rosa on many occasions at different times of the year and have enjoyed it each time.

The house is immaculately presented and in wonderful gardens with both kept in top condition by a good support team. The facilities are all you could need for a stay and the views and local wildlife are amazing. There is a relaxing, tranquil and welcoming atmosphere in the house itself and the entire area, which forms part of a conservation area on the opposite side of the hill to Cortona.

It is easy to reach Cortona itself (5mins drive, 15mins brisk walk) if you are looking for bars, restaurants or nightlife. Arezzo, Florence, Siena, Assisi and Perugia are all easily driveable and there is a good train service south towards Rome or north towards Florence - the station is also only 15 mins drive away. Other hilltop towns including Montepulciano and Montalcino are around 30mins away in the heart of the Tuscan wine region. Food and wine, as you would expect, are...

A holiday Villa that has to go on the repeat list. Private pool, tranquil setting yet an easy walk to vibrant Cortona. The best of both worlds. Bliss.
The garden is well laid out with lawn to relax on, the pool is deep and cooling and the privacy is appreciated. The views across the valley to the lake are ever changing and just magical to watch. Lavender and Rosemary are profuse and offer the wildlife a wonderful nectar filled offering and enchant the watcher. The house is well appointed with all the mod-cons and I loved the contemporary design of the interior - clean lines and cool tiles.
There is much to do in this part of Tuscany and the local vineyards - are well worth a visit. Lago Trasimeno is bustling with people and it is only a €2.50 ferry ride to explore the islands - no bookings necessary - taking the stress out of planning.
I went for rest and relaxation and was rewarded with this in spades. Loved it. Will be back.
