“Amazing View, Great Pool, Friendly Owners, Complete Relaxation.”

We stayed at Il Salice for two weeks in mid September and had an amazingly relaxing experience. The villa itself was literally on the side of a mountain with the most amazing view across the mountains down to Lake Trasimeno. The owners live nearby but leave you to your own devices apart from to give you tomatoes, cakes or help with a flat tyre!

The swimming pool is a great size for swimming and the view can be seen from beside it meaning many days can be whiled away in the Tuscan Sun.

The villa is down a track off the nearby road and is easy to get to from Cortona but nearby no other neighbours and the road itself had extremely little traffic.

We both had an amazing holiday and would recommend this villa to anyone visiting Tuscany or Umbria as it is an easy hour to Siena or Florence on the motorway.

The only thing we'd ask for next time is an internet connection, but in some ways that helped us relax even more, just made planning excursions a...
