We loved our stay in this very large apartment- even though it missed out on some of the "human" touches of the other Italian apartments we stayed in on this trip. Accessed by big gates facing Monseratto, it doesn't overlook any streets, is at the back of the courtyard and up two flights of a spiral staircase ( about 30 steps). It has an unusual, roughly L shaped, layout which sees both bedrooms at opposite ends of the L and about 5 separate doors between them! It was dead quiet and felt safe. One of the bedrooms can be made pitch black with the shutters closed. The second bedroom has a small balcony with a translucent cloth roller blind and no shutters. (We ended up pegging a dark sheet to it.) We found the bedding very comfortable and all of us had no trouble sleeping in on several mornings!
The air con worked well but the tiny washing machine worked once, then we could not get it to complete another cycle. We think that it broke but could not really tell because... more
