Matilde was a most welcoming, helpful and friendly host; Holiday lettings failed to provide us with the actual address,which Matilde promptly rectified. She met us at the local train station and provided us with a fab welcome hamper of wine, fruit, cakes,bottled water, coffee and tea on our arrival at the apartment.
The apartment is on the 3rd floor of a quiet and well maintained apartment block; it was spotlessly clean and the pictures on the internet are really true to life. Wi-fi was a great bonus.
My husband, 18 year old son and I were very comfortable in the apartment and would happily recommend it as a great base for a sight-seeing holiday in Rome. Fans in the rooms definitely helped as the temperature soared to 32 degrees daily but air conditioning would be a definite bonus. The front bedroom is close to a busy road intersection and the noise from the traffic was especially noticeable at night ( up to around midnight) and early morning. In contrast, the second...
