Olive Grove & Rose Hill are a pair of semi-detached villas which share a beautiful garden and pool, we stayed in one and our friends stayed in the other.
Cineto Romano is a remote hill-top village of winding streets and a peaceful market square with a bar and cafe. A delightful shop selling fruit, vegetables, bread, and essential supplies (try the sausages hung on strings from the ceiling) the post office is open weekday mornings.
A hundred yards from the villa is a wonderful trattoria with a panoramic view of the surrounding hills. When we ate there it always busy with local people.
Both villas were spotlessly clean and well appointed with beautiful antique furniture, books and decor. We took every meal on the terrace overlooking the garden. Late in the evening we were intrigued by the geckos and other wildlife (mosquito coils were really effective!)
