I would have written this review much sooner had I the knowledge of how to initiate a first review for a property. Fortunately, it has been done by someone else now, and I can give my humble opinion.
When my wife and I decided to vacation in Italy a couple of years ago, we decided, "nothing tropical, no beaches and nothing modern." Living on the coast of Costa Rica in on our own boutique hotel, we get enough of that. For our introduction to Italy we chose Marco and Barbara's apartment and we are so glad we did. The location was absolutely perfect. It was out of the heavily transited "tourist zones" but only a two minute walk to the Pyramid metro station and a major bus hub. Combined with a tourist transportation pass (I think it was called a RomePass) that allowed transfers anywhere in the city for several days, we had complete access to anywhere that we wished to go within minutes.
