Regarding public transportation there are limited public train system and good bus system if needed. The apartment was in a good location walking distance to almost every place (except Vatican). No issues with check in or out. Did allow us to check in early upon arrival. If taking train from FCO to the apartment you will have to take a cab to the apartment. This apartment is small but cozy. It is on the top floor so pack light; it's about 5 flights of stairs. There is a charge for AC or electric usage which was about 15 Euros.
