Description:
Rome Apartment Borgo Pio is located on the fourth floor (no elevator) of a characteristic building in an area of the Vatican known as the Borgo, and is accessed via a spiral staircase. You enter Apartment Borgo Pio into a long hallway; to the right is the living room that has been furnished with a mix of antiques and modern furniture including a comfortable double sofa bed, suitable for two children or one adult, and a television. From the living room, two steps lead up to the furnished terrace that has views over the rooftops of the Borgo and the street below. The small but functional kitchen has a three-burner stove top, small fridge and a small dining table. The hallway leads to the bedroom at the rear of the apartment that is accessed via two raised steps (due to the open plan living design privacy cannot be guaranteed from the sleeper sofa in the living area).

The bedroom has a queen bed and a magnificent view of the Dome of San Pietro. Two steps down leads to the bathroom with a shower stall, washbasin, WC and bidet. Borgo Pio is in the heart of the Vatican and only moments away from locations such as the Vatican Museum and Saint Peters Square.

It is well serviced by small grocery stores; specialty food stores and has an abundance of street cafes and typical Roman trattorie. One of Rome's premier shopping streets, Cola di Rienzo is around 7 minutes walk away, and following in this direction will lead you into Piazza del Popolo and the Spanish Steps area within 20 minutes. The Vatican area is well connected to the tram, bus and rail networks making it a perfect place to stay to discover ancient Rome.
