The owner, Victoria Turcan, was there to meet us as agreed. And she had been very helpful in giving the taxi driver directions to the apartment from the airport.
But at 9pm, the climb up 6 floors (we counted 96 steps) was no fun, and that is not including the one more floor to go up upon opening the front door, and wait .... another floor to the bedroom - that makes 8 floors!
However, the view from the roof terrace over the Barcelona roofscape was wonderful, and from the bedroom balcony, you could even see the sea (well, just a teeny bit...), so it was all worthwhile, I thought.
The apartment is well located in all aspects. There are eating places just downstairs, 2 Metro stations (for 2 lines) less than 10 minutes away. The la Bouqueria market is leass than half hour's walk away, so we bought fresh seafood to cook our dinners on a few occasions, and even invited a friend over for dinner on one evening.
