Warm climate even in winter.

    In the bedroom the two single beds can also be linked to make a comfortable double - it's either 2 singles or one double! And there is also a sofa bed which is a double.
    Only one bathroom, but the WC is separate from it.
    TV is only French and Italian; DVD player and lots DVDs to watch.
    WiFi - none, but investigating installing for Spring 2015. Pro Tem Piccadilly restaurant opposite provides access for its customers

    FLY to NICE AIRPORT. It is easy and quick. (From UK: Easyjet, BA and others).

    From airport: The AIRPORT COACH leaves every hour and takes 75 minutes. First part by motorway then a stunning, indeed spectacular, journey via mountains into Monaco/Monte-Carlo centre and thence along the 'base corniche' next to the sea to Roquebrune / Menton. The bus can be asked to put you down about 100m from the flat. If you are unfamiliar and a tad nervous this is the way to do it - easy and inexpensive.

    From airport by TRAIN: bus or taxi into Nice railway station and then by train to CARNOLES, which is one stop before Menton.

    From airport: by CAR HIRE. The usual international car hire companies are at Nice Airport.

We have been going to this lovely apartment for about 8 or 9 years now and are always drawn back each year for another visit ... Or two! We have been at different times of the year - in the colder months the heating makes the flat cosy to come back to and in the hot summer months the two balconies at each end of the flat create a cooling breeze! We have breakfast on the back balcony in the sun looking out at the mountains and later in the afternoon transfer to the front balcony to follow the sun! Although there is a very convenient private parking space behind the flat we don't use a car as the local transport is so good for wherever you want to go ... If you enjoy walking the coastal footpath to Monte Carlo is spectacular!
The flat itself is always clean and well looked after : very comfortable beds in a very quiet bedroom! We eat out quite a lot because the local restaurants are so good or else menton is a nice walk along the sea front where there are many more nice...

I have stayed in this flat many times and love coming back year after year. The location is perfect; very close to the beach but also away from the tourist hotspots. Local buses and the coastal train can be accessed in a few minutes from the apartment, which gives access to a myriad of places along the Riviera. You can be in the centre of Monte Carlo in minutes by train or in the centre of beautiful Menton with its delightful gardens. Equally pleasant is the stroll along the seafront to the old town. In the other direction, an evening stroll around Cap Martin is the perfect end to the day. And if you like hiking, this area is a walker’s paradise with fabulous walks from one mountain village to another, with spectacular views down to the sea. As for the apartment, it has everything you need for a restful stay. Unlike many smaller holiday lets, this apartment is really spacious and has the added advantage of balconies front and back.
