La chapelle du miracle was an ideal base for exploring Avignon and nearby towns. Tucked inside the ancient ramparts and close to the Rhone, staying here kept us close to the action in Avignon, but also able to easily escape to nearby towns. Avignon is a fairly big city, but all of the tourist sites and the train station are within walking distance. There are also plenty of restaurants and stores nearby. The real advantage of staying in La Chapelle was having a secure parking lot right next door to the building. We were able to have breakfast at home and then hop in our car to go off on adventures.
The loft we stayed in was clean, well looked after, and surprisingly large. It’s definitely larger than it appears in photographs. The kitchen was well appointed, with a large oven, an induction stove, a microwave, a coffee maker, a kettle, cookware and utensils.
