A picturesque 17th century Fisherman's cottage overlooking the river Lot in the medieval village of Puy l'Évêque.

This cottage dates back to the 17th century in the medieval town of Puy l'Évêque. With 1 double bedroom and a sofa bed, it is ideal for a couple or a couple with a young child.

The home was built with the local stone and is fully renovated in the traditional style. It is full of character with original features such as exposed beams, stone walls, tiled and wooden floors and an open fireplace, and kitchen, satellite TV and WIFI. The house enjoys panoramic views over the river Lot and has a private terrace garden with table and chairs.

We have just returned home after spending a really enjoyable week in the Old Fisherman's Cottage, Puy L'Eveque. The house is on 3 floors with lots of character - exposed beams, stone walls, stone, wood & tiled floors, & narrow staircases. There is an outside area with table & chairs at the front of the house that is perfect for sitting outside eating lunch bought at local markets & looking down the lane to the river.

The shower room/toilet is small but clean & makes the best use of the limited space! Good shower with plenty hot water.

Puy L'Eveque itself is a pretty little town with winding lanes, a small market on Tuesdays & enough local shops to cover the daily basics (the bakers just up from the bridge is excellent & less than 5 mins walk from house). Prayssac, only 5 mins away by car, has more shops & a really good market on a Friday.

I would recommend having a car as there is a lot of exploring that can be done. Cahors...

Stayed in this 3 level 350 year old cottage situated in the heart of the old town of Puy L'Eveque. The cottage is situated right on the river with views from the upstairs rooms of both the river and township.
Many nights were spent sitting on the old terrace which also has views of the river, drinking wine and relaxing . It was a very quiet area with just the locals tending to their gardens and fishing on the river. The cottage is a short walk (5 mins) to the local Boulangerie, Bar and great Restaurants. The area has much to see and do if you are after some tourist attractions. I would highly recommend for a couple who are after a relaxing time on the river in a town with great restaurants .
