We booked a week in September 2011 and enjoyed our stay so much we went back for a further two weeks in the following month of October! The barn is extremely well converted and equipped to a very high standard and set in a beautiful part of Limousin. The garden is a real bonus as it is very private and overlooks stunning countryside beyond. The large patio area is also a great feature, equipped with a large round table and chairs making dining outside a real pleasure. The rural location ensures complete peace and quiet making for a very relaxing holiday, but of the small town of Le Grand Bourg (with a charming and well equipped supermarket and bakery!) is only a couple of kilometres away. Looking forward to going back again later this year!

Peaceful hamlet at the end of a no through road, but with a mile and a half (2.4 km) of shops, bar and restaurants. The property overlooks the garden and agricultural fields to the hills beyond. The airport is about 50 minutes by car, the nearest train station with direct trains to Paris just 12km away. The property is an ideal base for walking, cycling, bird watching or fishing holidays or for those not wanting to indulge in physical activity, just sitting on the terrace enjoying the views and quiet.

A car would be fairly essential to explore the area unless you are a keen cyclist. Provisions, butcher, baker, 2 small supermarkets, bank are all available in the nearby small town of La Grand Bourg.
