    Maison Petite Creuse is a beautiful, newly-renovated French stone farmhouse located in the heart of the stunning countryside of La Creuse/Limousin. Surrounded by many safe swimming lakes (the closest just 15 minutes drive) many with sandy beaches and watersports and flowing rivers ideal for fishing (Holiday permits available locally) and situated just 15 minutes drive from the historical market town of Dun Le Palestel with all it's conveniences.

    The house is nestled on the very edge of a peaceful farming hamlet consisting of just a cluster of houses, and situated a short walk from La Petite Creuse river (after which the house is named) where in the summer months children can paddle and catch small fish in the shallow waters.

    Entry into the house opens into a large traditional lounge featuring original oak beams, stone flooring and fireplace with cosy sofa & coffee table. The lounge extends into an open-plan dining area with a traditional wood burner and oak farmhouse dining table seating 8. The back door leads out into the large private garden and terrace. Situated off the lounge is a fully equipped farmhouse kitchen with Kitchen island, antique oak dining table & chairs along with all modern conveniences including double oven with ceramic hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher and washing machine.

    Situated downstairs is a WC with hand wash basin and a separate family sized bathroom with bath and shower enclosure, twin washbasins, a heated towel rail and vanity mirror.

    A £150 deposit (per week) required at time of booking, final balance is due 6 weeks before arrival date & non-refundable within the final 6 week period. We recommend that you take out appropriate holiday insurance at the time of booking to protect your payment in the event of cancellation within the final 6 week period.

    A refundable security/damages* deposit of £200/EUR200 is required with the final balance and refundable within 7 days of the property being checked after departure.

    *A damages or excessive cleaning fee will only be charged if the property and its facilities/equipment are not left in the condition they are found.

    For autumn & winter rentals (Jan 2013 - Apr 2013 inclusive) Electric heating & firewood surcharge of £45 per week applies. Heating is by electric heaters and wood burning stove/open fireplace, the property does not have central heating.

A beautiful,stunning, rustic farmhouse with lovely big garden and peaceful surroundings. Very well equipped with games e.g. table tennis, BBQ, swings, hammock, net (for badminton), garden furniture, 2 fairly old bikes( ok for a mile or 2 but not great on hills).Plenty of tea light lanterns for those lovely evenings in the garden by the fire pit. Excellent farmhouse with a barn attached to it. Great for small children with large safe garden,board games and toys and a hammock in the shed.! Very comfortable beds and everything clean and well equipped EXCEPT NO DRYER !!! Beautiful and quiet. We would stay again! more

Maison Petite Creuse was the ideal holiday rental for our party which consisted of two small children (4 and 18 months), their parents and grandparents. The house is well furnished, very child-friendly and comfortable, and the garden is ideal for all ages with plenty to occupy children of this age. The house is in a very peaceful location.
