    Rose and Crown House has been furnished in keeping with its history, from the set of graduating pewter jugs, old photos and armorial bearings to the stags' heads mounted on the walls of the Garden Room. The old wooden frame and beams of the house are exposed as are the old oak flooring and doors. Many of the windows are leaded with stone mullions and entrance to the property is via the 'horse passage' through which animals were led to the stables!

    The opportunities to dine in style at the refectory table in the oak panelled dining room or relax in front of a blazing fire in the large inglenook fireplace in the sitting room are not to be missed.     Ther front door opens into the 'horse passage', now an integral part of the house with a flagstone and quarry tiled floor. Off this passageway are the sitting room, dining room, kitchen and untility room.

    SITTING ROOM
    Formerly the 'Public Bar', the room is dominated by the large inglenook fireplace with stone seats on either side of the log fire. This is a cosy room with two comfortable two seater sofas and an armchair.

    DINING ROOM
    A long, narrow room once the 'Private Bar', the polished wood dining table and chairs will accommodate 10 or 12. Exposed beams, oak panelling and portraits in oil give the sense of being enveloped in history.

    Price for 6 nights at weekly rate

    Short breaks (minimum 3 nights) are NOT AVAILABLE BETWEEN APRIL TO OCTOBER INCLUSIVE except close to the actual date.

    There is a refundable cleaning/damage deposit of £150 for all stays up to 5 nights.

    For Christmas and New Year bookings there is a refundable cleaning/damage deposit of £250.

    Payment can be made by cheque, bank transfer (any bank charges must be paid by the customer), Visa or Mastercard. If by card there is a 2% card handling charge except for UK debit cards where there is no handling charge.

This place is all you could want from the Cotswolds, it is a beautiful old, full of history building in the main street, beautifully furnished, fabulous garden, the kitchen is so equipped - double disherwasher enough pots pans, platters, utensils to cook up a storm. What a fantastic week we had here with extended family whilst visting from Australia. I particarly loved the walled garden (which was immaculately kept) and the formal long dining room table, great for sharing good food and company over. It is the epitomy of fantastic old English charm, history, elegance and I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anybody. Chipping Camden has all you could require for your stay aswell. Great bakeries and eateries, local restaurants, a few pubs, an Indian, the town and accommodation will not disappoint. more
