“Unusual hideaway in a great setting”

Wonderful place to relax, take walks and watch wildlife on the water. The house is comfortable, clean and furnished well. The Aga gives a homely feel backed by efficient heating. My extended family joined me for a birthday celebration and the kitchen and dining facilities in the house coped admirably. We especially enjoyed walking in the castle grounds in the evening and having an excellent dinner in the new restaurant which overlooks the castle.

I spent a memorable week here and would like to return.

“What a find - great place for an extended family weekend away”

We stumbled across the Keeper's Cottage at Leeds Castle having scoured the internet looking for a very special weekend away for my son's 10th birthday. What a find! Very comfortable accommodation for two families plus grandparents in the grounds of Leeds Castle - we could wander around after the crowds had gone home. Very high quality self-catering, all linen and towels provided, plus tea and coffee, etc... The cottage (really a decent sized house) is tucked away in a corner of the grounds, so nice and peaceful (though not a direct view of the castle). Free entrance to the castle for a year for everyone plus free access to a local gym complex with swimming pool. The castle grounds are beautifully planted, there is a great children's playground and maze. Plus, the weekend is actually 3 nights long. One of the best self-catering houses we have ever stayed in.
