The house is large and has plenty of room for the whole family. We really enjoyed our time there. The views from the house were amazing. It would be very hard to find a property to rent on Skye that would have better views. The location is great with Broadford just a mile up the road. Broadford was just the right size, not covered in tourists like Portree was. We also found that there are some excellent places to eat nearby. We would defintaly stay again. Make sure to bring your own towels. We found the WiFi worked great and we had no problem with our mobile service there in Breakish.

My husband organised a 4 night trip to the Isle of Skye for my birthday.

After a long wet and windy drive from Glasgow we arrived at Tigh Eachainn. The house is lovely although probably a little big for only the two of us (there are 9 bedrooms). My husband enjoyed building the fire each night and there were plenty of logs left for us to use so most nights were spent cuddled up next to the fire watching telly. SKY TV is provided and there is also a selection of DVDs, however due to the strong winds some of the TV channels didn’t work. As the house has free wifi and we had brought our laptop we downloaded a couple of movies to watch.

Being out of season we couldn’t find any restaurants open so just cooked in the well equipped kitchen each night. There is a co-op store only a short drive away from the...
