    Rectory Cottage is a newly converted, 2 bedroom self-catering cottage adjoining the well-established 18th Century Old Rectory Bed & Breakfast. The cottage has a private patio area with seating, BBQ and wok firepit. Bed and Breakfast basis is available whilst staying at Rectory Cottage, please enquire.

    We pride ourselves in ensuring that you have a relaxed and enjoyable stay; you will be provided with a welcome pack on arrival including bread, milk and our own eggs. Children are free to use the trampoline and other toys in the secure back garden adjoining the cottage patio; egg collecting is also encouraged! We supply age appropriate toys and books for those rainy days.

    Leave the M4 at Junction 24 (signposted to Newport & Monmouth) and exit the roundabout heading North on the A449. Exit the dual carriageway left onto the A472 (signposted for Usk) and shortly after entering the town turn right at the 'Three Salmons' hotel, (signposted to Abergavenny). Follow this winding road (the B4598) - through the small villages of Chain Bridge (you cross the River Usk here) and Llanvair Kilgeddin - for approximately 6 miles until you come a T-junction (just after ‘The Charthouse’ restaurant on your right). Turn left here (signposted for Abergavenny and the B4598).

We stayed at Rectory Cottage for the first two weeks of September and were made to feel extremely welcome by Kate and Liz, who very kindly supplied us with a welcome basket of freshly laid eggs and home made bread upon arrival. As you approach this property at the end of the village the directions on their website begin to make perfect sense. Vicki and I spent two nights in the cottage, along with her brother Geoffrey. Facilities are excellent and we had milk, bread and eggs (fresh laid by Kate's chickens) provided when we arrived.
