Rectory Cottage is a two bedroom self-catering modern cottage in the grounds of the 17th Century Old Rectory Bed & Breakfast. It is in an excellent location between Abergavenny, Raglan and Monmouth. The cottage has one double bedroom and one small bunk bedroom with adult sized beds. The cottage has a private patio area with seating, a BBQ and a wok firepit. The patio leads onto the secure back garden with a trampoline and other outdoor toys for your children's use. We are very happy to accept dogs as long as they do not sleep on the carpeted areas or on the beds. There are chickens in the garden that can be shut away should they need to be. Egg collecting is encouraged but not chicken chasing! The cottage is well equipped with a 37” flat-screen television, DVD player and plenty of board games and toys. We provide washing and drying... Kate and her family were the most wonderful hosts to our family in their delightful cottage attached to the Old Rectory. We were travelling with our young children, 8 and 3. Kate's daughter was wonderful company for our little girl and immediately took her under her wing and they spent the next two days playing happily in the garden and... more

Really nicely presented cottage, quite compact but perfect for small families. Idyllic walks along the Usk and farmland. Most of all the hosts Kate and Liz were so welcoming and gave us lots of ideas for activities as well as plenty of toys for the 1.5 year old. The eggs were delicious too! more

We had struggled to find rooms for the Saturday night, as we hadn't realised it was the same weekend as the Abergavenny food festival, We extended our stay to two nights and drove down from Yorkshire on a Friday afternoon to be greeted with fresh home made bread, eggs from their own chickens and milk in the fridge. The hosts... more
