We stayed at Daisy's Cottage for a fortnight in August prior to moving over to the US. We had moved out of our house and needed a temporary place close to home until we left. Daisy's is comfortable and quiet, easy access to Alton Towers if that's what you fancy, nice walks and Leek, Ashbourne, Buxton too. Quiet village, nice enough pub and friendly locals. Only downside is there is no wifi - we needed it as we had stuff to do, had we been on holiday then maybe it would't have been an issue, although wifi really is a retirement particularly if you have teenagers and generally want to be online anyway - phone signal was patchy, so wifi would have really been welcomed. The owners are super friendly and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Daisy's Cottage.
