The best place I stayed in Greater London until now at this price/night.

House is not easy to find, but... the owner is very helpful. He is explaining the route you need to take(= tube, which line, which end-station + local bus, number, busstop, end-station) very well and is waiting you at the busstop when you arrive. A little walk together to his house, and meanwhile he is telling you where you can find shops; places of interests; etc.

And then the cosy house! A very clean one! Nice room; good bathroom; towel; Wifi; coffee and tea and... honey(!). A kitchen you may use. You can even cook your own lunch and or dinner.

Providing you also a guide of the London attractions + a city-map. Super!

Also the DLR station 'Royal Albert' is just a short walk from the house. It brings you to the centre of London in an easy way.

I would say: "Be open- and positive-minded" and you will surely enjoy your stay at this 'guest'-house ;-).

I stayed here because I was eager to avoid treading on the toes of my English family who, whilst they offered alternative accommodation also has two small children. It wasn't an entirely unpleasant experience but it also wasn't the best.

For starters, for some reason trip advisor didn't show the exact location of the house correctly - so where I thought it was a quick walk to a station that would take me to central london- it was actually a bus trip and a few train transfers. If you decided to go here - take the bus to stratford and the train directly into central london - close to a 45 min trip but it's pretty direct and London transport is nothing if not punctual (compared to Sydney anyway).

The room was more spacious that I expected for the price, clean linens were on the bed and the bed itself was pretty comfy. The room was clean and tidy which was also a huge plus. Oh, but bring your own towel.

The downside....The bathroom. Everything except the shower...
