Overview
Rental Home /
3 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, Sleeps 6
Coniston, Duddon Valley, Lake District, Cumbria, England
Low Water End is a property with two self catering holiday cottages at the southern tip of Coniston Water. Lake Cottage sleeps 6 and Old Cottage (5460760) which sleeps 8

It is hidden away in the heart of Arthur Ransome country with enough grounds for children to play all day, with lake frontage, boats, a slipway and not a computer game, TV or video in sight.

The kitchen and dining area in Lake Cottage is open plan. There is a woodburning stove and a full utility room. The three bedrooms have zip-link beds so can be doubles on request. The cottage has ample parking and is very private and secluded. It shares the grounds and the lake access with one other cottage - close enough to share a holiday if required but private enough to not disturb each other.

Please note - the boat shown in the the photographs was a dinghy brought to the cot...

The main event here is nature at it's beguiling best bringing together water, land and sky in a concentrated intimate soulful package. We (a family with 4 teenagers) stayed at Lake Cottage during Autumn halfterm break. I think it is a testament to the simplicity and comfort of the place - contriving to encourage you to appreciate even more what... more

A wonderful four days spent at the cottage, surrounded by birdsong and eye wateringly beautiful views of the lake with the backdrop of the mountain behind, which we had great fun exploring. The cottage far exceeded expectations, beautifully designed, extremely comfortable and has everything you need (excluding a bbq). The bedrooms all have views with very comfortable beds and are... more

Management response:

Thank you so much for your wonderful review. We are thrilled that you were happy with everything and described our little paradise so well. I agree, BBQ would be good and something we will consider for the future but it would need to be a brick built one. Anything else would be difficult to maintain and would very quickly end... more

We were a group of friends that rented both Old Cottage and Lake Cottage for a weekend in May. Lake Cottage was stunning, very modern with views out over Coniston that you could enjoy even when it was raining. The living area was really open and great for a group of friends. I can verify the oven managed to produce...
