    A fine barn conversion with fantastic gardens, Croft House is light and airy, getting the best of the sunshine.

    The main focal point is the magnificent sitting room with its tall ceilings, chandaliers and comfy sofas. This is a great party room for groups or extended families. This room also has a dining area with a large table comfortably seating twelve people. The gardens are fantastic and there is a secret garden over the little stream which children (and adults) love to explore.

    Lamplugh is a great starting point for exploring the Lake District. Loweswater is your nearest lake, three miles away, and has lovely lakeside walks with an award winning pub at the end! Ennerdale lake is four miles in the opposite direction and has been described as the Lake District's loneliest...

    Additional Rate and Availability Information
    We ask for a deposit of a third upon booking Croft House. The remaining balance is due six weeks in advance. We also ask for a damage deposit of £100 which is returned within a fortnight of your stay.

    All heating and electricity are included in the rental price. There is a charge of £15 per dog.

    You can pay by cheque or by card. There is no charge for a debit card payment, but bank fees of 2.5% if you pay by credit card.

    It's best to reach Croft House by car - leave the M6 motorway at Junction 40, follow the A66 to Keswick and then Cockermouth beyond. At Cockermouth, turn left onto the A5806. Carry on for about 10 minutes and then turn left into Lamplugh Village.

    If you're coming by public transport, you can take the train to Penrith which is on the mainline, and then bus to Cockermouth. You'll need to take a taxi from Cockermouth.

    The nearest airports are Manchester or Newcastle.

We met up here for a family wedding. Our group included pensioners and small children, youngest 6 months old. Spacious and comfortable accommodation in an ideal place to explore the northern Lakes. Rambling gardens with stream and small wood to explore.
The house was exceptionally clean.
