Perfectly situated between Ambleside, Grasmere, and Elterwater - all accessible by car within 10 minutes. Good pub at Elterwater - The Britannia Inn. After finding Badgers Walk online, viewing the photos and comments, and thinking what great value for money, we booked a 2 night stay for January. We had very limited knowledge of the Lakes, and took a gamble on Ambleside. However, we're glad we did as it's a great base for a relaxing weekend. We're not avid walkers, and being Winter... more

We stayed at BW for 3 nights in jan 2014. Overall we really enjoyed our stay...the apartment was nicely decorated and even had flat screen tv blu ray player and an xbox 360 with games and dvds included. Kitchen was fully equipped and we were able to cook meals without any problems. Bathroom was excellent only thing was no toiletries... more
