We stayed here over Christmas for a week, the property needed cleaning properly. The dust on the TV you could write your name in, there were cobwebs at all the windows, the heated towel rail didn't work and a few other issues. Our main issue with the property was that we had paid nearly £900 for a week and the house was dirty, dusty and felt unkempt.
On our return we contacted Sykes who were disinterested and said it was the owners responsibility not theirs. We emailed Sykes with a list of the issues and eventually we received £85 as compensation. We booked through Sykes under the assumption that using a well known company would assure us of a quality holiday rental, but this is not so.
We will not be using Sykes again and not recommending them to anyone.
To the owner of Badgers Lodge I would ask that if you are charging people to stay at your property PLEASE ensure it is clean and in good working order so it can be enjoyed to its full potential. more
