I booked this cottage as it was reasonably priced and 'dog friendly', however in the details it states that your dog is allowed in kitchen and courtyard only. "not so bad I thought" but the courtyard was very small, dark, damp, dreary and overgrown with plant life, maybe in high summer it would be more cheerful but in October not very welcoming, surrounded by high walls it is not somewhere any one would want to stay long, and that includes our dog!
The kitchen was well equipped but very separate from the house, it does state this in the details but I can honestly say It took 'the edge' off my holiday because I felt very unhappy leaving our pet dog who is part of the family on her own while we were altogether watching a film of an evening, she is normally always with us. And so I suppose I am writing this so that other dog owners will be aware of the situation more than I was. If a cottage is sold as 'dog friendly' I feel that the dog should be at least allowed to sit...
