    Our smart, new apartment in an annex of a rural farmhouse is in a very beautiful location but with easy access to Cambridge, Suffolk and Essex. Good local pubs and restaurants.
    We are very close to the Tour de France route 2014

    We are close to Stanstead and trains to London ( an hour's trip) run from several local stations. Ideal for shows etc
    Ideal for those wishing for a quiet stay with beautiful views over three counties. There are many lovely local towns and villages to explore and local good food and drink to sample. Trips to London and Cambridge are recommended.

    Birdwatching is good and it is lovely walking,riding and cycling country as we have direct access onto a large network of foot and bridlepaths

    This is a country retreat. There is a beautiful private, fenced garden ( birdtable and pond ) with access straight onto footpaths- no roads. The conservatory has lovely views of garden and open country. It is snug and has every facility. There is a fully fitted kitchen, comfy lounge with TV/dvd and double sofa bed, and a bedroom with fitted wardrobes etc Fluffy towels on heated rail in the luxury shower room, and sparkling white linen is the norm. We are helpful hosts who welcome you with homemade baking and can help you plan trips and find your way around. The nearby Suffolk and Essex villages are often underrated and Clare, Long Melford and Finchingfield, to name but a few, should not be missed. Of course you can take in Cambridge and London too.     Flights to Stansted-25 minutes to us from the airport. Good rail and road links to London and Cambridge. We are on the borders of three counties- Essex Suffolk Cambridge.We are on the main B1054 road between Hempstead and Steeple Bumpstead set well back from the road. From Steeple Bumpstead 2.5 miles from village on right. Indicate right when you see the horse sign at Blagdens House and turn at bottom of dip.

    From Hempstead 1 mile from the Bluebell pub , left at bottom of the hill. Look for horizontal sign on front lawn.

We had a lovely short break here. Owners very welcoming and the garden was brilliant for our dog. Great walks from your door. Very good value for money. Would love to return. more

Our hosts were lovely, the accommodation was clean, cosy and well equipped. We went out for the day and, when we came home, our hosts had brought in the washing we'd left on the line and baked us a delicious cake. The Blue Bell inn down the road is very relaxed and friendly. more

We cannot fault this property with its private garden and fantastic view over the countryside. All facilities required were provided. Easy access to Cambridge and London, plenty of quaint little villages to drive through or walk around.
