    By Road - leave the M6 at junction 40 - take the A66 towards Brough - turn right at the next roundabout onto the A6 towards Shap - go over Eamont Bridge - turn right at the mini roundabout onto the B5320 to Pooley Bridge & Ullswater - after approxiamately 2 miles enter Tirril - pass the Queens Head Inn on the right - Broad Ing is 1/2 mile on the left hand side as you leave the village - at the 30mph sign turn left into the courtyard - Broad Ing Cottage is in the corner on the right hand side.

This is a very well appointed cottage, set on the outskirts of the peaceful village of Tirril, which is conveniently about halfway between the foot of Ullswater and the market town of Penrith. Superb spacious cottage. Very homely. Great for relaxing. When weather is good, great garden overlooking the picturesque countryside. No traffic noise. Must recommend the local pub The Queens Head Margaret and Jim terrific hosts. The food is tremendous and service excellent. Plenty to see and do within the area. Booked for Christmas week 2012. Arrived to find the cottage decorated, heating on and a hamper sitting on the table. The cottage was immaculate and catered for everyone in our group.
