We rented the cottage for 4 nights in November and there was my wife and I, as well as our 3 month old.
As we have a young baby and because of the time of year we didn't venture out as much as we would do if it was summer or had a more mobile family, and we would love to come back in the summer, and make more of the surrounding countryside.
So of course as we were mainly in the cottage it was very important that we could cook nice meals, relax, entertain the young one and still feel away from it all.
On these counts the cottage is superb. You are in the same yard as the main farm but it is very private with a couple of houses on the other side of the cottage but we didn't see anyone going in or out of these at all.
With a huge field from the garden view and the hot tub it really is the complete package of great cottage, lovely location and everything you'll need.
Very convenient for York too which is always worth a visit and you are in a great area... more
