We left Makana earlier today and just returned home. I often read Trip Advisor comments and wanted to share the information we learned. We give Makana a fantastic review with one caveat. The caveat is that if you are the type of travelers that want to go, go, go, this (and probably most) house/villa rentals aren't a good choice.
However, there are probably no better choices if (1) you are traveling with small children, (2) several families are traveling together, and (3) you like a slow-paced do very little vacation.
Makana is a beautiful property with great staff. The chef is Kayla - assisted by Reydon - and they are talented and flexible with what to cook. The staff is led by Kayla and Devon. Devon is a smart and observant. The staff did a truly remarkable job of identifying and adapting to the needs of our specific family.
