This is a luxury house. We shared the accommodation with our daughter and her family. We spent mornings looking after our two-year-old grandson while the others went skiing, so accommodation was very important. The house is furnished as the family home of the owners with a style and luxury beyond our expectation. It was no hardship to spend the morning at home.

Entry is into a mudroom where all coats, boots and ski equipment are stored. The heating is independently controlled in each room and there is a fire in the open plan living room. The main bedroom is en-suite with jacuzzi and the two other bedrooms share a generously proportioned second bathroom with a big shower cubicle with two showers and two in-built seats. There is also a hot tub.

The owner is a keen cook and the kitchen is fully equipped. The kitchen is compact, but intelligently designed: I could prepare a cooked breakfast without moving far from one position. That said, other members of the family...
