Staying at Real Ibiza was like going to New York City and staying in Queens. A 10 minute drive doesn’t sound long, but when relying on taxis you’ll find it a real hassle. To get a taxi from the apartment to town you have to walk several miles to the local mall – taxis don’t stop on the street. You can’t call a taxi because the apartment doesn’t have a phone or Wi-Fi – which is dangerous should an emergency occur. When in town you have to stop several taxis, most won’t go to Real Ibiza… not sure why. Besides the inconvenient location, this unit lacked basic comforts like:
1. The water pressure in the bathroom was extremely low. We couldn't take a proper shower and the toilet didn't always flush. When we questioned the owner’s helper about this she told us it was normal for Playa del Carmen – absolutely not true.
2. No HOT water in the bathroom shower and sink - that was unacceptable.
