I joined some friends/family for a week at Hacienda Petac. From the moment we entered the Hacienda and were greeted by the wonderful staff with an amazing local fruit drink, I knew that this place was going to be special- like no place I've ever been. The bedrooms were spectacular, with flowers arranged on the beds and around the bath.... more

We reached the Hacienda late in the evening and found the place bathed in candle light with staff waiting to welcome us with light refreshments. I soon discovered that Hacienda Petac’s chef makes the best guacamole that I’ve ever tasted so on guacamole alone I could justify a return trip! After copious amounts of guacamole and tortilla chips and a... more

My wife and 7 year old son have stayed in many places around the world but honestly nothing (to-date) compares to the service, food, accomodation and hospitality shown to us at Hacienda Petac. Our room was beautiful, with immaculate presentation and service ... fresh flowers sprinkled around every day. We did walking tours of the property, enjoyed spa treatments which... more

I recently took my family down to Hacienda Petac and had a splendid time! I was lucky to find an opening in early February when the weather is just perfect. We had mild temperatures and cool nights. While I know the owners, I am still amazed by the resort after two visits - one is September and one in March.... more

Fresh flowers on the bed anyone? This is the hotel experience one has always dreamed of. I asked myself at times if perhaps we had landed in Tuscany... then the van escorted us to nearby Mayan ruins at Uxmal, to the flamingo reserve at Celestun, and to the colonial city of Merida, all authentic to the Yucatan of yesterday and... more

This place is truly unique, I have visited many places over the years as a combination of work and pleasure, but I have never experienced this kind trip before. From the moment you arrive the staff are on hand to make every element of your stay effortless. The hacienda is beautifully presented with a lot of attention to keeping original... more

I was invited to celebrate a friend's birthday at Hacienda Petac along with five other women. The hacienda is a beautifully restored house in lush grounds about 30 minutes away from the Merida airport. A hacienda employee picked me up at the airport and the vacation began. We had three wonderful meals each day, served outside or in the dining... more

Absolutely fabulous place. If you've ever wished you could have a great hotel without the bother of other guests ...this is it. The hacienda itself is incredible but the staff is amazing. They washed, ironed and put away our clothes daily. I never saw the rooms being made up, but they were always clean. As soon as you even THINK... more
