My boyfriend and I were new to Aruba. This location was an $18 cab ride from the airport (there is a line for cabs outside the airport that is quick and efficient). We were pleased with the outside sitting area, full kitchen etc. But the BEST part was proximity to beaches and shopping! So much to so and see in this little city, it would be hard to get bored.
We did get day passes to the buses a couple of times (bus station is about a 10-15 min walk) but did not feel a need to rent a car or taxi except back to the airport. Baby beach was pretty and the bus to get there offered an interesting perspective on local life . The bus to the resort areas revealed a bit more crowds that we like. We would MOST DEFINITELY stay here again. The beach near us was lovely and never crowded. Several restaurants with ocean views were amazing (Barefoot and West Deck are quite notable) The locals on this island are welcoming and appear truly happy. "One Happy Island" seems to be the...
