We had a wonderful stay at La Petite Grange in Leran. The house is very spacious for just two people and it retains a lot of character even though it’s been modernised. The reason we chose La Petite Grange was its proximity to the Tour de France route this year. We were able to travel to Albi to see the stage finish and it was also an easy drive to the Pyrenees to see two stages. This also meant we enjoyed having the British TV channels to watch the TdF highlights on ITV.
Since we were there in July, we got to experience the Night Market. For such a small village, the Night Market was very lively with locals from nearby villages. The food was very good and the atmosphere with live music was fantastic.
The boulangerie has unfortunately closed but we found the boulangerie in the nearby village of Laroque-d'Olmes was very good and worth the short drive (we went to the boulangerie on Rue Saint Jacques).
