Througout the house there are beams and tiled floors. Each landing has plenty of space to store and hang clothes during your stay. The kitchen is small but functional with a dining table and four chairs in a provencal style (lavender blue). There is heating throughout the house. Water and heating included in the price. We no longer provide linen and towels. Settling in this house, we are in a wonderful situation: the medieval architecture, the central street, beautiful views, authentic atmosphere in the house, clean mountain air, the friendly people of the village, the silence and purity, fine dining with great service and quality food. From lookouts village offers breathtaking views of the bay and Menton. We have had the whole house. In this beautiful house, we got a quality vacation for less money than if we had chosen Menton. Very comfortable place to take a break from the bustling city and machines.
Every day we went down to the sea, and enjoy the cleanest sea on the beaches of Menton and neighboring Italy. In the evening went up again in St Agnes, and enjoyed the coolness and quietness. Such diversity is valuable for recreation. The road connecting Menton and St. Agnes was not tiring, it takes only 15 minutes, and very enjoyable. In St. Agnes special romantic atmosphere.
Special thanks to the owner at home Suzette, which...

Having always thought of the Cote d'Azur as a terribly touristy and over priced area, I was pleasantly surprised to find that there are still places where you can truly get away from it all and enjoy the magnificent scenery. The village itself has a few lovely shops, not any more expensive than Menton, in fact, I found the grocery store cheaper. There are events and concerts taking place in the summer months in St Agnes and other surrounding villages, so you are not in a cultural desert. The best restaurant is diagonally across the
lane of the house with views over to the Mediterranean. The air is clean and the local water pure and drinkable. Many people have retired to St Agnes for health reasons. I went there to be on my own, to meditate, to relax and to feel part of the Universe again - something we lose sight of in urban environment. There are plenty of magnificent walks.
That part of France is steeped in history. For those interested in WW2, one of the Maginot Line...
