    2 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, Sleeps 4
La Tour des Anges (the Angels' Tower) is a painstakingly restored and totally unique home inside the medieval ramparts of the village of Sablet, bathed in the sunlight of Provence.

The house is full of original features and is furnished simply and stylishly with many vintage pieces. The two bedrooms and the living room all have windows overlooking the valley, with miles of vineyards and fabulous sunsets.

There is a stone bench around the old fig tree and plantings of lavender, herbs and other aromatics.

    Additional amenities & feature info
The en-suite bathroom, set within the medieval watchtower, has a view (from the bath!) through three arrow-slits. The immense stone walls keep the house wonderfully cool in summer and warm in winter.

The airy kitchen is fully equipped (the owner is a chef) and opens out into the charming walled garden (which also has a beautiful view through two old windows in the rampart wall).

Two generous double bedrooms - one can be used as a twin bedroom. All rooms have beautiful views across the vineyards, apart from kitchen which opens out onto pretty walled garden.

Free wireless broadband with optional iMac hire. Telephone with free calls to European land lines.

Lots of useful books - food guides, books about the area, dictionaries, cookery and wine books plus general holiday reading.

This was our 2nd year at Pippa's beautiful home in Sablet. We felt even more at home this time round, settling into local life from the minute we arrived. Pippa as always is the perfect host, always on hand should you need anything whilst equally giving you the privacy you want. Put simply La Tour des Anges is, (in my... more

La Tour des Anges, built into the old fortress wall and watchtower of Sablet, is a very comfortable, clean, and well equipped home that made the perfect base camp for our one week stay in Provence. All the basic shopping, restaurant, and pub needs are within a five minute walk. A bonus is the Sablet Tourism Office samples and sells...

What can I say? What a perfect base to explore the beautiful french villages and towns in the local area. Starting each by stepping out onto the quaint streets of the village; being greeted by the locals with a friendly 'Bonjour', then ending the day sipping wine watching the sunset over the stunning countrywide. We had the most relaxing holiday... more
