Stop Press; BRIVE/SOUILLAC airport has now opened and is only 30 minutes from Carennac. The easiest way to reach La Maison de Pan de Bois from most UK airports is via Limoges airport with Ryanair or Flybe. Limoges is around an hour and a half away to the north but there's not much to choose between Limoges and Rodez airport to the south east and both are served by Ryanair. Toulouse airport is another option and that's a couple of hours to the south; it is served by the major airlines as well as the likes of Easyjet and BA and AirFrance; prices are sometimes very competitive. Car hire is possible at Brive (Vallee la Dordogne), Limoges, Toulouse and Rodez, the most economical being Europcar.

A place where you wake up to the sound of a church bell, where you have picnics on the banks of the river, and where you rediscover nature.... more

It has a very large well equipped kitchen / dining area on the first level which was lovely and cool when temperatures were high. It is situated in a very quiet area of the village and is ideal to use... more

Quaintness all around, just metres to bars and cafe/restaurants. Penny extremely helpful and accommodating. Only thing disappointing about Carennac is it no longer has a boulangerie however bread can be bought from the... more
