This converted barn is set in the courtyard adjacent to the owners farmhouse in the village of Bonsall. It is high above the wooded 'Via Gellia' gorge. With the lively town of Matlock Bath, 2 miles by car or a scenic walk through woodland. Superb walks from the door to the limestone moors above.It is a quiet spot ideally located for walkers but within easy driving distance of many visitor attractions. Chatsworth House, park, garden, farm and childrens play area has something for everyone. Haddon Hall and Arkwright's Mills for the historians and Crich Tramway Museum, Gullivers Kingdom, Carsington Water and Alton Towers theme and water parks for family groups. The Play Mill is an indoor play area for under 9's which is a 5 minute drive away.

I think this was our 4th visit but our first since the two barns were joined. The refurb is excellent and proved much better for our large party. Ten of us met here for a reunion weekend. House lovely, bedrooms and bathrooms good. Plenty of parking. Kitchen great with plenty of equipment. Nice big table for us all to congregate around. Location of the house is good - Bonsall has two fantastic pubs in the village and tea rooms - we didn't have to leave all weekend. Lovely... more

A really nice property with the right number of rooms and the right space for our 10-person group, including children. Well presented and friendly owners. The village of Bonsall is very peaceful and well worth a visit. more

Leave the M6 at Junction 19 signposted Knutsford. Take the A537 to Macclesfield/Buxton. Follow this road through Macclesfield (over the Cat and Fiddle). When you reach the end of this road turn right and next left and left again. Continue on this road until you come to a T junction. Turn right through Harpur Hill. At the end of this road turn right and then left and you will be on the A515. Continue on this road for approx 10 miles.
